Compleat Food Group's Vadasz brand headlines The Big Brine fermentation festival this September, having grown pickled goods sales from around £6 million to nearly £17 million since 2022, while Quorn's foodservice arm supplies mycoprotein to William White Meats for the launch of UltiMeat, a new blended meat range. Sainsbury's has committed £8 million to tackling holiday hunger and SDG2 Advocacy Hub Chefs' Manifesto London Action Hub brought 120+ chefs, growers and researchers together on food resilience and waste.

On awards: Tesco was named Britain's Favourite Supermarket at the Grocer Gold Awards, with Brakes (Sysco) taking National Wholesaler of the Year and Warburtons Supplier of the Year; ABP Food Group was recognised at the Booker Values Awards; and Cool Farm Alliance was named a Top 10 Most Mission Driven Company at the Flexa Awards. Mallika Basu's latest Good Food Magazine feature tackles the nuance in meat, and plant-based choices just in time for BBQ season, and The Food People marks 20 years of trend forecasting with its Annual Trend Summit set for 17th November.
